Lexie Admitted to Pittsburgh Sci-Tech
Beginning in September 2009, Pittsburgh will open it's doors to "Pittsburgh Sci-Tech". Pittsburgh Sci-Tech is a new school concentrating on Science, Technology and Math. For the first school year (2009 -2010) they only accepted fifty 6th, 7th and 8th graders and one hundred 9th graders. The candidates had to write two essays explaining why they want to go to this school and what their goals are in life. I am proud to let every one know that Lexie is one of the 7th graders that was accepted at the school.

Cailey Scores Big at PJAS
I am excited to let you know that Cailey competed in the PJAS (Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science) competition held at Keystone Oaks High School on Saturday 02/07/09 and came in 1st place. This 1st place win guarantees her a trip to Penn State in the spring for the All State Competition. This is Cailey's second year participating in the PJAS, she came in 1st place in Pittsburgh last year and in 2nd place in the state competition. We are all very proud of her.
